The high school’s academic strengths lie in both CSEC and CAPE levels, specifically in the subject areas of English, Mathematics, Principles of Business, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, and Music.  It is one of the few schools that teaches Psychology (Cambridge) and Law.  The school recorded a 100% pass rate in most of the subjects pursued in the 2009 CXC examinations.

With a strong faith base, the school encourages students to develop a firm relationship with God. Sports and culture is also important as there is a biannual Sports Day and a Cultural pageant every year.  An active Student Council body ensures that there are many opportunities for students to excel in a small environment that gives emphasis to individual attention.

In 2011-2012 the High School moved to a new location and did not participate in any activities for that year. In 2012 and 2013 it recorded a 100% pass rate and a 99% pass rate respectively in CAPE examinations.
